Moorpark Sports Centre Feasibility Study

The Feasibility Study was to incorporate a new swimming pool, new library, new pavillion and astro turf and expand the local leisure centre whilst keeping the existing leisure centre operational and all on an existing site.

It was decided to juxtapose the new buildings, allowing for new entrances and a new covered milling space shared between the 3 buildings.  Additional car parking was designed.  The scheme was costed at £7.7m approximately, but will not go ahead as the ground water level is too high to allow for the construction of a new swimming pool.
