Longhouses, Palacerigg Country Park

The Millennium Longhouses were designed and built by Charles Gulland. They are a base for demonstrations on a variety of woodland and other crafts. They also provide an unusual venue for meetings and small conferences.

The Longhouse is constructed from sustainable resource of home grown timber. Conifer thinnings are bent while green/fresh to form pre-stressed timber frames which are then assembled on site.

Dallman Johnstone designed the interior fit-out and were the Project Managers for this unique venue.
